Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of this website and any reservation, stay, or event booked at Abbey Haus, located in Wilmington, North Carolina ("the Property"). By browsing this site, submitting an inquiry, or completing a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't book or use the Property.

Reservations & Booking

Reservations may be made directly through this website's booking widget or by contacting us directly. A booking is only confirmed once payment has been processed and a confirmation has been sent to the email address provided. The person making the reservation must be at least 25 years old and will be present for the duration of the stay.

Payment & Pricing

Rates are shown at the time of booking and may include a base nightly rate, cleaning fee, and any applicable taxes. Payment is processed securely through our booking provider, Hospitable. Full payment (or a deposit, as specified at checkout) is due at the time of booking, with any remaining balance due according to the schedule shown during checkout.

Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellation terms are shown at the time of booking and vary based on how far in advance you cancel. Please review the specific cancellation policy displayed during checkout before completing your reservation. No-shows and early departures are not eligible for a refund unless otherwise stated.

Occupancy & Guests

The Property accommodates a maximum of 22 guests. The number of guests staying overnight must not exceed the number confirmed at booking. Additional visitors during the day are permitted only with prior approval and must not result in the overnight guest count being exceeded.

Guest Conduct & House Rules

Guests are expected to treat the Property, its furnishings, and its historic architecture with care. Specific house rules — covering matters such as noise, smoking, pets, and parking — will be provided in your pre-arrival information and are considered part of these Terms. We reserve the right to end a stay without refund if these rules are seriously or repeatedly violated.

Damages & Security Deposit

A security deposit or damage protection fee may be required as part of your booking. Guests are responsible for any damage to the Property beyond normal wear and tear, and any such cost may be charged to the payment method on file after your stay.

Liability & Assumption of Risk

Guests use the Property, including the pool, rooftop deck, and all common areas, at their own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Abbey Haus and its owners, managers, and affiliates are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your stay, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct. Guests are encouraged to review their own travel or personal insurance coverage.

Weddings & Private Events

Weddings and private events require prior approval and a separate event agreement outlining guest counts, vendor access, timing, and any additional fees. Please reach out directly to discuss your event before booking.

Force Majeure

We are not responsible for a cancellation or disruption to your stay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government action, or other emergencies. In such cases, we'll work with you in good faith on rescheduling or a partial refund where appropriate.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from your stay or use of this website will be resolved in the courts of New Hanover County, North Carolina.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of this site or a completed booking after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
